How much do hot tubs cost ?

Every day people ask us – what does a hot tub cost. And that is a very broad question. Just like many other products that people buy, such as cars and appliances, there is a wide range of prices from simpler products not costing much (relatively) to high priced premium merchandise.

So in order to make sure that you get the hot tub that you want for the best price you should be ready to answer the following questions.

What size of a hot tub do I need ?

What features do I want in my hot tub ?

Generally speaking, good quality, smaller and simpler hot tubs cost around $ 4,000 and larger more elaborate hot tubs can rise to $ 15,000 or more. With the national average price of a hot tub being around $ 7,800.

Size, however is not the only driver of price. Sometimes you can buy a fully featured small hot tub that costs as much as a larger, more minimal one.

Other aspects that create different prices are materials and components that are used in manufacturing.

The most expensive part (of most) hot tubs is the shell (interior surface).

For instance, most brands use forms of plastic, or ABS or cast acrylic sheets for their hot tub shells. Each of these materials is suitable for hot tub construction. When plastic and ABS are used it’s a less expensive building method than when a acrylic (with fiberglass backing) hot tub shell is constructed. So therefore less or more costly to build and buy.

Our hot tubs from Sundance Spas and Jacuzzi Hot Tubs use Rigidbond/Trifusion for their durable, energy efficient and easy to maintain spa shells. Prices for these hot tubs start around $ 5,000 and increase to $ 15,000 or more.

Our Nordic Hot Tubs feature a durable plastic shell that offers a lifetime warranty with prices starting around $ 3,900 and go up to $ 6,500.

Other factors that influence hot tub cost are components. There may be smaller and more basic hot tubs that have just one pump to larger spas that may have four or more pumps. There may also be more or less jets, plumbing, valves, controls, pillows, filters, lights and water features that steer the cost of a hot tub.

Also, within many hot tub brands, including Sundance Spas and Jacuzzi Hot Tubs, there are different series of models that start with basic elements and move up to patented and proprietary components in their mid-level and higher series spas.

Our prices for the Sundance Spas and Jacuzzi Hot Tubs are structured in ranges of $ 5,000 – $ 7,200 / $ 8,300 – $ 10,000 / and $ 10,000 and more.

We include an insulated, locking safety cover, normal delivery and a chemical start kit with every hot tub.

What’s not included with our hot tubs ? Any necessary site preparation, (such as base installation). Electric wiring installation or components. Crane or equipment charges if needed (which is rare). Various accessories such as steps, cover lifters, towel racks, shelves and other fun stuff which we generally discount with any hot tub purchase.
