GFCI breaker
The NEC, National Electrical Code requires that your hot tub’s GFCI, ground fault circuit interrupter, should be tested monthly ( see image to the left ).
This simple task is for your protection !
You don’t want to find out too late that the protective device is not working properly !
Your GFCI breaker will be located in either your main service panel ( as seen below left ) or in the outdoor service disconnect ( as seen bottom left ).

The hot tub GFCI breaker will have a test funtion button function you should engage for your monthly test.
