Spa Cover Care – part 1

Protect your investment.  Proper hot tub cover care helps prolong it’s life and saves you money.  We recommend that every couple months or so that you clean the vinyl exterior with a mild detergent and water solution.  A sponge or soft bristle brush may be helpful to remove built up debris and dirt.  Be sure to rinse thoroughly with clean water.  Once your spa cover is dry a conditioner should be applied.  Don’t use a silicon based product.  These types of products can negatively affect the vinyl topcoat.  Once this process begins, the vinyl becomes susceptible to cracking and degradation.  The number one recommended treatment product is 303 Aerospace Protectant.  We stock 303 in a convenient 16 oz. spray bottle here at the store.
